Freshest and best tasting sushi at a Great Price!

If you want good and fresh sushi, this is the place to go.

The restaurant is not the fanciest, but the large-sized portions of sushi for the price is unbeatable in Vancouver.

I have tried every sushi place in the downtown core and this is the best quality and quantity for price going.

My favourites are the Toro sushi and sashimi, California roll, Red Dragon roll (spicey salmon roll with salmon sashimi on top), Rainbow roll (California roll with salmon, tuna and prawn on top) and the vegetarian rolls are larege and very fresh.

Fresh, good food at a decent price

I work close by Sushi Maki, so it is a regular lunch spot for me. They have a good, broad menu, with many vegetarian options, as well as really good fresh fish.

The All Day Combo Specials are great value, and most include the usual California roll with another selection. I prefer to order one of the specials on paper posted to the walls (like the Spicy Tuna Sashimi special, with California roll and miso soup) or to order exactly what I want a la carte, still a very good value.

Some of my favourites: spicy tuna sashimi (mixed with green onions and hot sauce), Angel Roll (smoked salmon roll topped with sliced avocado), White Dragon roll (spicy tuna roll topped with tuna sashimi). In my experience, the fish is always fresh, and when I order sashimi, it is never still frozen in the middle (a problem at some other small places). The tempura is tasty without feeling heavy or greasy. I have not been disappointed by anything I have ordered here.

Vegetarian options are good and fresh, and plentiful. Choose from veggie sushi, tempura, yakisoba, and appetizers such as agedashi tofu, gomae, and edamami.

I have ordered their party trays for corporate lunches and have found them to also be a great value and very good and fresh.

The service is friendly, the place is fairly small, and can feel cramped during a busy lunch hour. They do a great take-out service.
