Mmm... mmm... good!

Love their Halibut! I'm not a big fan of fish and chips, but their Halibut is definitely better than the ordinary fish and chips place. In the Marpole area, by far they're better than the competition (e.g. Mr. Pickwick's) in terms of taste and price. The fish (cod, halibut) is always served soft and juicy.

It's mostly a snack / dinner place (open 4PM-8PM, except Mondays), and the place is pretty much hole-in-the-wall, but the area is quiet and spacious, so it makes for a relaxing environment.

Definitely our first choice for fish & chips in Greater Vancouver! Food is predictably hot and fresh, service is quick and friendly, and even take out is well presented and enjoyable. Atmosphere is "small town diner" but still friendly and fun. And the Courier coupons every few weeks make the price even better!

Food: Have had the fish/oysters/chips/onionrings/zuchini,
all of which are very good. Perhaps the best in Vancouver.
Service: Have only taken out, and the service has always been friendly and efficient. The owner's daughter always makes sure one has all the right condiments, and all the necessities to keep your food nice and warm.

None Better!

I've tried fish and chips all over the lower mainland including some highly touted and overrated places down on the beach in White Rock such as Moby Dick. While I'll usually go to C-Lovers for convenience which is consistently very good, if I want a real treat, we go to King's Fare down in Marpole. Cozy little place and the food.....ah, what dreams are made of! Incredible fish 'n chips.

It's OK, but Certainly not THE Best

Stopped by today for an early dinner. The restaurant is an older, small almost "hole in wall"-type. It is clean in side. I had the halibut & chips. Quite good really - better than the beach fare in White Rock, but I would say that Mr. Pickwick's and Al & Jan's in Surrey are better.

Forget Mr. Pickwicks and pick a winner.... King's Fare!

You'll feel like royalty as you're treated like a king by the service.

The sides are huge and the fish is just the right size.
Everything tasted fresh.

What a great night out.

If you want to go somewhere and have some great Fish and Chips and a truly enjoyable time this is the only place you should go.
