  • Innovation and tradition define the food at KIN resto + bar, where authentic Asian flavors are uplifted with a modern flair. We incorporate flavors primarily from Vietnam and Taiwan: from the renowned freshness of Vietnamese cuisine through to the use of herbs, to the innovative use of spices and sauces of the Taiwanese kitchen, we want to introduce a type of cuisine that is exciting yet steeped in tradition. Although our menu is heavily influenced by flavors of Taiwan and Vietnam, we do not shy away from incorporating flavors from other parts of southeast Asia. Atop the regular menu offerings, we also have a “Fresh Sheet” where we work with suppliers to find out what is particularly fresh. More than anything, we want the dining experience to be fun and enjoyable. In Chinese, the word KIN (堅) means strength or perseverance. In English, “kin” has a familial meaning and we want every person who walks through our doors to feel welcomed as family. We hope you share our vision, and we look forward to serving you.

very good viet pho

I went there yesterday for dinner and to watch the canucks game (go canucks go!) and the waiter/owner gave me a good table with a good view of the screen. Food is excellent, like high quality vietnamese food. Menu is kinda small, but it's filled with great stuff that you should try.
I recommend the beef short ribs, the fried rice, and the pho bo. oh and the donut for dessert, it's like 5 big timbit.
the thing i like about the pho is that it's not too salty unlike other restaurants. some restaurants adds more salt to the soup for flavor, but this place adds more herbs. you can really drink the soup afterwards.
service is great, even the waiter waited until after the game to ask me "how's the dessert?"
For food this good, im not surprised that it's a bit expensive. but i dont care it's worth it. =)
