Went to this new resto that opend up at the begining of July. Normally would give it a month or two before trying but they had space on opentable so booked for a Sat night. Great space inside the renovated heritage building which the developer has nicely restored. Nice cafe part as well as a more formal dining area wiith a nice semi private dining area behind the bar. Nice clean look. Started with roasted chickpea dip which seemed to taste like hummus minus the garlic. It came with a few crostini but as usual it's not enough so we asked for more complimentary bread, dip was just average. Tried the fried chicken skin which was just OK, tasted like chicken wings mostly. The terrine was good as it came with some nice mustard. The restaurant seems to be famous for their rotisserie chicken which they feature on the menu but two out of the 3 items on their special menu were sold out. I'll chalk that up to being new and not knowing but would be a downer if this happens regularly. Chicken was good but can't help to think for $36 for the whole chicken and one side (smallish), it should be outstanding. Nandos does a good job. Also tried the shortrib pie which came out like shepard's pie, was just average. Tried a few desserts with the honey roasted dates as being superb but the brownie being dry and average. Service was great. Overall a bit overpriced for what we received with the appies in the mid teens and entrees in the low $20 range. Would come back but try different items.

Ordered the Gnudi today... Tasted alright but really quite cool in the middle. Not cooked thoroughly. So I sent it back for a refire because, well at $18 you had better get it right.

By the time everyone at my table was done their food, I received mine.

Not an offer to company any of it. Not that I like being comped my food, but places with good service usually comp food when it's like this.

Service was way too slow... We sat their waiting to pay our bill for about 15 minutes.

Overall, over priced, mediocre food, mediocre service. Beautiful ambiance.
