Guaging much?
By onegirl of vancouver (22 Reviews)

So I got delivery from The Firewood Cafe... this isn't my first time, I had ordered from them before and really enjoyed the pizza I received.

I ordered a few things today, and when the driver came with the order and bill I was abit confused. So I looked at the bill and the website -- clearly they were not the same. I contacted them and asked them which is the correct price? The lady explained that with the HST gone, their website hadn't been corrected.. and that apparently the owner "decided to bump up the price of the food, because the HST was gone, so that the prices would stay around the same" ???

REALLY??? well wouldn't it have been nice to know this information when I was putting my order in over the phone?? You would think the person taking the order would mention that??? We did the difference of calculations, and she said, "..it's only a fourty cent difference".... WOW!

Sorry, I am not impressed, I do not like companies gauging me... I will not be ordering from them again. I find it disgusting that a company decides to profit from the HST going away.. and yes, maybe they have good pizza, but I am not interested.

Best pizza in town

This is truly the best pizza. Thin crust, great toppings, & fast service.
I have been eating pizza from here for years. Most pizza places in vancouver have gross toppings, bad cheese and very, very bready crust. Firewood oven is the opposite. Even the salads and pastas are good. Things I would never even consider eating from other pizza joints.
I praise this place for consistantly good food and service over the years!

Yum! Get the Spaghetti and Spicy Chicken Primavera

I have never eaten in at this restaurant, but I have ordered for delivery a number of times. The Spaghetti and Spicy Chicken Primavera are my two favorites and were not the typical noodles in the same old sauce. Delivery time is the regular 40ish mins, delivery people are great.

Tired of all those chain pizza places? Try Firewood!

A friend of mine was craving pizza, and not the fast food kind. Found Firewood on DineHere thats quite close to where I live.

My friend and I ordered a large Chicago Pizza, and it was delicious, especially just arrived steaming hot. very tasty. We both were hungry, but still had 3 slices left. I'd give it good value.

Since I live so close, I plan to go back and sample some other dishes that peaked my interest.

FYI, although there are about 5 tables, and we dined in, I think it's mostly a takeout or delivery place since we paid when ordering, not after eating. almost forgot to tip. My friend and I were talking that for dine in customers, they should do it the normal way... waitress/ whole restaurant can probably make a bit more in tips. Just a thought.

Simply the Best

For those that say Pizza is Pizza, well they have not ordered there pizza from Firewood Cafe. Don't spread the word though they are very small and if they get too busy I will have to wait for my Pizza!
If you go to the restaurant, you will find they do not cater to the sit down diner, but certainly you can consume your pizza selection while they create many more taste sensations for the robust delivery business.

Bad Service... Not-so-Bad Food
By vanfoodhunter of Vancouver (4 Reviews)

BAD service might be an understatement... it was more like TERRIBLE service. We went to The Firewood Cafe on a quiet weekday and the staff didn't even acknowledge us or give us the courtesy of eye contact. It was really disappointing considering the food wasn't bad. If you want to try this place... stick to delivery.
