Mid-afternoon lunch

I ordered a salad which took over 30 minutes to arrive, and when it did, the salad was all wilted. I mentioned this to my server and she took it like a insult on her. I was just making a comment when she asked about it and when i said the lettuce was wilted, she responded with "um ... so what do you want me to do about it?", they ended up remaking my salad with "fresh lettuce" which i didn't know i needed to ask for and the reason was that the salad was sitting on the line for a while before i had received the salad. The server was okay, i kept to myself the whole meal, so she wasn't attentive because i didn't need her to be, but overall, everything was unsatisfactory.

Sleek and inviting look to the place.

Mirrors add depth and if you like the rich background chatter this place could really get going on a game night.

Blackened Halibut and Cowboy Salad hit our table in good time and the Halibut was probably the best fish sandwich I've ever had.. subsequent visits have placed it in front of me 3 out of 4 times. The yam fries were so good and helped make the plate a surprisingly healthy meal. Tip - once you go in, don't put it down.

The Cowgirl across from me had the Cowboy Salad - she loved the dressing and overall flavors.

Staff were friendly and look like they enjoy working here - always nice to see. Makes you feel good about supporting a local venture when everyone is being treated right.

I will be and have been, back.

We had a party of 9 (for a birthday get-together) at Browns in Kits. They were happy to take our reservation on short (one or two days') notice, and our table was ready when we arrived.

The food was excellent, as agreed by all, and they had a nice drinks list that made everybody happy. Not a Coors Light/Molson/Richards beer selection, either, which is always nice.

Our service was excellent - attentive and friendly, without being overbearing, insincere, or over-the-top. We wound up staying for hours and had a great time, and the prices were awfully reasonable. Two thumbs up.
