Located in the Green Timbers strip mall at Fraser Hwy & 148th St, this place appears to do a good take - out business. As in most small sushi restaurants, there was only the one server and one chef on our visit.

There are only a few tables but we were able to get one on the Friday evening. Our order took quite a while to prepare, as the chef was working on several to go orders.

The food quality was quite good and the prices very reasonable. $2.95 for my favourite rol, the California. Add $1 if you wish Tobiko added.

Many of the rolls were in the $2.95 - $2.95 range. They had several higher priced and we tried one called the Rock & Roll for $6.50. Quite large and as it was rolled in a cucumber skin, fell apart as we ate it. Nothing special. The Yam roll was quite tasty.

A previous reviewer indicated they did not have hot food. This is not the case, as we ordeed gyozi on our visit and they appeared to offer a full line - up of tradional dishes including bento style boxes.

There was no reference I could see to the 10% discount on the take-out menu. Perhaps they simply deduct at time of order. Would not hesitate to return.

Richmond Quality Sushi in Surrey!

I moved from richmond and lamented the prospect of living without good sushi. Luckily, futago opened a few blocks away from my house. Their california rolls and dynamite rolls are HUGE for less than $4 each! They do not have any warm food however (ie terriyaki, gyoza, udon) but the extensive sushi selection makes up for it.

The service is great, family owned, and always smiling and making sure the customers are content.

The ambiance: unlikely location (fraser hwy and 148) but inside, it's like a completely different world. Extremely clean, very tastefully (though simply) decorated.

Open monday-saturday

Call ahead for take out and get 10% off!-yes, they are on my speed dial :)
