Can't really complain

I have come here several times with friends for drinks. Tonight I had decided to come with a friend for 19 cents (yes, 19 cents wing Mondays....all you have to do, is buy a beverage)

For beverage my friend had a beer, and I had a Shirley Temple and we ordered wings.....My friend had onion rings as well, and I had french fries

Anyhow, for the food (the wings) they were ok (breaded though) so not as good as you would get at Earl's or Cactus Club (but for 19 cents per wing why complain.....they weren't bad) on Mondays when they sell them for 19 cents you have to buy your sauces seperatly (75 cents each) but really, the wings were ok, not great but ok, but well worth the price for sure on a Monday (french fries were good too, and friend liked onion rings)

I'll come back and try another entree (looks cheap on the menu) and get fewer wings as an appetizer (but only on a Monday)

Service was great....I got a free refill on my Shirley Temple, and when I told the waitress that I didn't like the sauce that I ordered, she told me she would let me choose another flavour for free.....Thank you

So much potential....

Having driven by this establishment just after Christmas, and thinking that it looked quite charming and in a pleasant suburban area of Richmond, the Other Half and I found ourselves in the area again around lunch time on a Saturday. The interior is several levels, nicely decorated and well-kept. The washrooms were clean and tidy.

Service was excellent. A very friendly lady server acknowledged us promptly, brought menus and took drink orders. Drinks arrived in good time, and we took some time to look over the menu. A bit more extensive than most pub menues, with some intriguing options. The OH ordered a chorizo quesidilla with fries and I ordered "rustic vegetarian pizza". Then we sat back to wait and wait and wait.

FINALLY the food showed up. My first view of the pizza was not promising - it looked very overcooked, dark brown. It was a thin crust type, and the crust was pretty overdone. My guess is that it was a frozen pizza that was left in the oven too long. The toppings were supposed to be roasted peppers, red onions, artichoke hearts, black olives and cheese. There was very little of ANY of those things on the $14 pizza. It was dry, dry, dry and tasteless. I gave up after one slice and some toppings off another piece. The OH said the chorizo quesadilla was OK, but the fries could have used a bit more time in the deep fryer.

The server was very apologetic and very anxious to make things right. She offered a replacement to take home, which I declined. She took SOME of the cost off the bill.

Too bad. Nice place, nice people, a menu with real potential. Terrible food product.

Won't be back.

Unacceptable customer service

My sisters and I visited the Trinidad and Tobago Trincity mall J Malones on the 11th of July to dine an enjoy the world cup coverage having made there our choice. Upon just breaching the door way an employee rushed to us as in an emergency case and proceeded to push us out of the restaurant in the most hostile manner, because of the shock we were in silence overcame us for a minute or two. Her reason for her actions was that the restaurant was full.Now i mean to say there had to be a nicer way to bring across that point. To add to this she proceeded to tell us just get out of here repeatedly in a very raised tone of voice when we requested the manager she then turned to the said manager and told her just get us out of here.When we tried to explain what had happen to the manager the employee began cursing. We understand if a restaurant is full but the employees attitude was uncalled for and quite embarrassing an It did not end there other people were allowed to go in despite the fact that they just proclaimed that the restaurant was full when we asked why she rolled her eyes and again told us to get out. That showed a very high level of disrespect to us.I must say that we have convinced alot of people to disassociate themselves from the establishment and we would no longer be visiting either one of the locations. In the end of it all an apology was never given but the door was slammed behind us.The service we received was indeed poor.
