The burger tasted fine, but for $5.29, I was kind of hoping that the burger would be a hell of a lot better than the burgers one can get at McDonalds.

Overall: Nothing special and overpriced.

Worth the visit

Laksa: It's not bad, but don't expect it to be like the laksa found in Malaysia or Singapore. I do wish it was spicy.

Chicken curry with rice: This was pretty decent.

Overall, Hawker's Delight serves up some decent home-cooked food. The food is quite cheap and while it is a hole in the wall, it's worth visiting if you happen to be in the area.

Avoid the laksa
Submitted Monday, February 11, 2008 - 6:13pm [Dine in]

I've been to this restaurant twice, and left disappointed both times. While the service is fine, the same cannot be said about the food. The laksa is definitely something to avoid. They add certain spices that are not supposed to be in a bowl of laksa. The second time I visited, I brought a friend from Malaysia who had heard about Banana Leaf. When she tried the laksa (didn't listen to my warnings) her immediate reaction was "Ugh!". The nasi lemak wasn't that much better. The rice was hard and everything else was much too salty. It's possible that the other dishes on the menu are fine...just avoid the laksa and nasi lemak.
