Where's the Beef ??
Submitted Sunday, February 20, 2011 - 5:12pm [Dine in]

My husband and I went to Romer's today to try out their burger, we were seated right beside the hostess and waited for 10 minutes for our server, needless to say, one of the servers came and stated "oh I didn't see you sitting there". So, my husband ordered the "Man's Man burger" and I ordered the "cheeseburger". Again, it was a waiting game to say the least that our burger came after 25 mins. When it arrived, the buns were doughy white buns, seriously, it's a cheap bun. I swear, the meat patty was children's size patty. I believe one of the reviewers stated the bun is bigger than the meat itself. I swear I can't see the patty. My husband stated, it was not definitely a man's burger, but a junior kid size combo. Sad to say, we are not coming back for more. For $12 a burger, take your money and head to Noodle Box or another burger establishment.

BTW, all sides are extra between $5-$7.

This is the place to be seen..hands down. Good for groups of 8 or more.

I swear everyone was beautiful and botoxed to the max, or perhaps it's the oyster that gives you the sex appeal. The noise level is pretty high that I was 3% deaf afterwards.

There was 12 of us celebrating a friend's bday who just turned on her mid 30's. We all ordered the 4 seafood platter as appetizer, 2 or 3 bottles of white wine and our main course. The place is rather huge (open space), the bar is nice looking with nice looking servers as well. Our main course was okay, but the seafood platter was fantastic.

Given the price, it is quite expensive. However, I'm sure, we all splurge once or twice a year. Our average cost per couple was $325 gratuity included. We sure are going back again, our server was very attentive.

One of the birthday guest knows the bartender at the bar, that we were all given 1 or 2 shots of alcohol and sample dessert after wards...definitely that was a plus.

Hits The Thai Spot

Food: The pad thai and curries are to die for. Overall the dishes are very good that we ordered another dish of pad thai to go. The cook is Thai lady, they showed us some of the ingredients they use...definitely not ketchup..lol like other "Thai" restaurant in town.

Service: friendly, the girls who work here are Thai as well, they know their food very well and attentive. They asked how hot, mild or spicy you want your dishes. They are very busy most weekends so if you don't mind waiting, they so be it.

Value: The portion is a bit smaller, pricing is somewhat average. To me, it seems it is meant for 2 people only,

Ambiance: If you're looking for 10 people or more, forget it, Try and go to the Chinese Restaurant across the street, I can definitely say, they do need a bigger place to accommodated group of 8 or more.

Overall: Food IS OUTSTANDING! Best Thai food in the city. Definitely a MUST go!
