Off Night?

Usually we go down the street, but we thought we would try a new place...

The service was awful. We were seated and then waited 30 min. just to have our order taken. Over an hour later and we got food for one person; It took 20 min. for the second person's food to arrive. Every table in our section was experiencing similar problems (food not brought together, wrong bill when leaving, had to chase down the staff for a water/bill/etc.)

I had the fish tacos, which had really good flavour, but with the exception of one taco were really short on fish. Everything was a touch salty, but the guacomole was awesome.
The person with me said it was okay, but the chicken was chewy, almost like it had been microwaved.

Serving size was good. The margaritas were awesome and an really good size for the price. I really liked the decor, but it definitely bordered on cheezy.

Family Tradition for bringing back the memories...
Submitted Thursday, November 20, 2008 - 6:33pm [Dine in]

It's turning into a bit of a tradition for the family to take Grandma here for birthday lunch, she always loves it because the food reminds everyone of Auntie Angelina's cooking...

Both times I've had the baby clams, once with the red sauce, and the other time with the white. The red was better, but they are both good and the portions are huge (more than one meal of leftovers).

The rest of the family had the veal cutlets, lasagna and italian sausage and it all went over really well (especially the cutlets) except my mom who thought the sausage was too spicy.

The bread and family-size salad is awesome and the whipped cheesecake was super-tasty and light.

I would definitely go back, and am a little confused about all the bad ratings...since Chianti's closed I haven't been able to find a better Italian place, though I do agree it's a big expensive
