Food was good and it came out fast but service freaking sucked! I've never had such bad service and trust me, I will never go back there again. I've never been so upset in my life at a restaurant. Sometimes I understand if it's service isn't up to par but the staff at Wings were so chill that they were just hanging out while my boyfriend and I were waiting for drinks and our bill. We literally waited 20 minutes for our bill because our server was dumb and didn't think we wanted it, nor did she ask us if we did because apparently she was too busy standing around talking to the other waitresses. Gosh! She got me so angry I wanted to write bad service on some kind of paper. They should really have customer service evaluations for us to do. What made me even angrier was the fact that the manager was standing with them just relaxing. Like what kind of place are you running? I will never be back here. However, the food was good so I will be going to different locations of Wings, I hear that the Surrey location has the best service. For good service, I'll be willing to drive.

great experience

Went there with my boyfriend after a long new years day. Never tried korean bbq before so we went here since we've heard that it was good and didn't want to drive down to richmond for some other korean bbq. Hands down, the best place I've been to in awhile.

Walked in, was actually very empty, but I guess its because it's open late so people aren't in a hurry to eat there. Seated right away, area looked clean and open.

we ordered the set menu they had for 19.99 per person since we wanted a taste of everything. It included short ribs, beef, pork and chicken (i believe), sides, soup, rice and dessert. It didn't come all at once which i enjoyed because i hate it when some restaurants bring out all the food and after somethings get cold and it doesn't taste the same. so they brought it out in increments.

when it was time for the meat to come out, the server actually cooked it for us, i'm guessing its because he probably knew we never ate here before. but if it's what they usually do, that's really cool! My boyfriend and I were very pleased that they did that, it was so nice of them because its a given that we will for sure come back for that experience that they've given us.

i checked out the washroom, omg, extremely clean!!! I loved it! some places are DISGUSTING.. truly impressed with this places cleanliness.

LOVED IT!! recommend it to ANYONE and EVERYONE! worth the price for this delicious food and amazing service.

Could find cheaper thai
Submitted Tuesday, June 9, 2009 - 4:39pm [Dine in]

Went there a few weeks after they opened and I don't know. It seemed as if they could have pulled it off better. You could totally find cheaper thai food at other restaurants.

Price was reasonable considering how it is a fancy thai place and its on west forth but I don't believe it was worth the food.

Food came out pretty slowly, they brought food out to other tables before they served us and we had came in first.

When the food did come out, it was cold. The chicken appetizers that we had were honestly, not even warm it was just straight cold but it was still very good. We also ordered the fried rice and pad thai (the pad thai is something you just have to try at maenam), rice on the outside was cold and so was the pad thai, you could tell it was sitting out for a bit before being served.

Overall, I do recommend people to go and just try the restaurant because there's not many fancy thai places around vancouver so check it out! And, definitely try the pad thai, probably the best thing on their menu.

Cheap, but ehhhh

I went here with a group of friends and we were treated like totally kids, i mean we are 16 but we're not children. they forced us to pay tip, acting as if we don't know how to do it ourselves. Demanding 15% tip like what the heck? my boyfriend got so mad that he chucked 5 on the table and left.

Although they have a long range on the menu, most of the stuff on there is basically repeats. the sushi has so much rice so you get full fast. we ordered thsi kind of meat before and when it came it was so small and we didnt even kno what it was.. an dit was practically burnt. gross. They also kept on limiting our orders, say if we ordered 10 of this they only gave us 5. so we would have to keep on ordering until they gave us it. it really pissed us off.

But seriously the thing that pissed me off the most was the waitress, which i will leave nameless. she's one of the reasons why we don't go anymore. she was so mean to us. rudest person ever met.

beautiful experience

So i chose this place because of the fact that it wasn't one of those commerical casual fine dining places. it's a wonderful place to sit and eat with a group of friends. recently i went to eat with a group of 23 and they set up one big long table for us and was very understanding that we wanted one big instead of 2 small tables and adding another chair since one came mistakenly.
Servers were very understanding and pretty much left us to do what ever we wanted around the restaurant the night there. My friends and I were able to explore the top of the resturant which is so very maginifiant.

The restaurant was pretty much dead so it was only us and so there wasnt groups talking over groups so that was nice just to hear ourselves unlike other restaurants. it was also a nice place to take pictures because they have this long stairs, just so beautiful.

the place is also very convient because of the fact that it is connected to the skytrain station so it is easy to get home. The neighbour hood there is also very beautiful, quiet and not the scary side of downtown.

The menu was a bit confusing at first, but very affordable and delicious. also, if you did not understand this or that they would explain it and ask you again later if you liked it or not, i really appreciated that. the food also came out really quickly so that was good.

In summary, I love this place! and will soon be coming back. affordable and simply delicious.
