Delicious all you can eat.

We were in Whistler just to relax and came across this restaurant. Went upstairs after dinner one evening and it didn't appear to be busy compared to the other restaurant next door.
After reading a review from another website, we decided to try it out the next evening.

They had an all you can eat korean bbq at $40 per person. We were served with a bowl of miso soup, 4 korean side dishes, perfect kimchi, rice and all you can eat chicken, bulgogi, beef short ribs, chicken (tastes like tandoori), shrimp, scallops, salmon and calamari. All meat were marinated.

You just ask for more of the meat dishes and they came.

The staff were friendly and always filled our glasses of water and refilled the soda pop. Some staff needed some improvement in their English skills.

Decor is very modern and clean. They have given the restaurant must breathing room and lots of extra space so you don't feel cramped.

Literally death by chocolate
Submitted Sunday, March 2, 2008 - 5:41pm [Dine in]

I was at this Death by Chocolate restaurant across from Metrotown in Burnaby on February 16 and had the worst experience ever. The only lady working didn't greet us, didn't smile, probably didn't want to serve us and especially wasn't service oriented. You will know who I mean if you stop by: grey haired European lady with an accent. The menu had stickers all over with 'not available'. That isn't the Death by Chocolate that we were accustomed to.

THe four in our group each had a dessert and drink. Two of the desserts tasted so bad, it was not edible. The 'homemade' ice cream tasted like styrofoam and sugar; I am not exaggerating. It should not have been served. One of the desserts had a long piece of hair in it, nicely rolled up between the sheets. She brought our drinks over to us and left it on a tray. We get better service from a fast food restaurant.

In a 'normal' restaurant, we were going to bring up all these problems to her but it was obvious that she didn't care. We laughed this pathetic experience and will not ever go back to this restaurant... Someone should do something to permanently close this location.
