This Japanese noodle house served both Japanese and Korean noodles and dishes. It was an ok restaurant, nothing special or over the top and nothing bad. I had the seafood udon and found the shrimp hard to shell with a pair of chopsticks, a spoon, and hot broth. Plus, the shrimp weren't de-veined, so that was kind of gross. My husband had the chicken teriyaki, which was better, but it was topped with shrimp flakes and he doesn't like fish (and didn't order a fish dish). The menu offerings were limited and not very original. We're not sure we'll go back.
My husband and I dined at the Gate tonight for the first time. The chef was very nice, approachable, and the food was quite good. The ambiance is limited to Turkish decorations, but I thought it was simple, straightforward, and a relaxing environment. I'd tell you the name of my food, but I can't remember! It was beef, rice, yogurt sauce, red cabbage. My husband had the chicken with vegetables baked with cheese. That was good. I enjoyed it and we'll definitely go there again.
