Recently enjoyed a fabulous meal here. The food was outstanding, the decor as great--calm and relaxed. Even though the place is cool its not too cool to be able to enjoy a good meal and relax w/friends. I highly recommned the vietnamese coffee cake. Even though they appeared to be lacking a server, the service wasnt overly compromised--and actually when we got the bill we thought it was fairly reasonable for this great dining experience.
This place is excellent. The best thing is the speedy service and fresh crispy homemade french bread. It's super cheap and when you get the bill, you'll think they've made a mistake. I only wish they had more seats.
I go here all the time and I think its the best value. The food is fresh and they're super flexible if you want to customize your orders. Also, the guy who works there is probably the most agreeable server in the city. It's really laid back and a great place to warm up on a rainy vancouver day.
I heard this was the best place in town so we went. Indeed the food was excellent and so was the service but the prices were absolutely shocking. So much so, that I won't return, you can get an equally fabulous restaurant experience elsewhere and still pay your mortgage. I was surprised --when i got the bill--that the wine-by-the glass- that the server recommended was 20.00.
I think the main is a gerat place for a casual meal. The ambiance is better than most Greek restasurants in that its not painted torquoise and blasting bozouki music. The menu could be expanded a bit or mixed up sometimes-- but all in all its pretty solid. They do good brunch too.
