Brooklyn Tap & Grill250 Columbia Street, New Westminster
Whatever.. too bad

I've been here twice with my wife, who really wanted to like this place. We both agree that the service is beyond terrible, especially in the bar area. However, for New West, I think their appetizers are very well put together and they even have a couple good flavour combos. But in all honesty, I'm not sure how often I'll go back, I'm so tired of poor service. The waitress is not attractive at all and this is a pub eatery. What are they thinking?

Moxie's Classic Grill180 West Georgia, Vancouver
Surprised at how good

For our dining pleasure after work or lunches during the week we usually go for the ambiance and food of Cactus Club or Earls or a pub nearby but went for Moxies this week and was pleasantly surprised.
There was a mighty wait but as annoying as it was I understand why.
The green salad was excellent, but the caesar was under dressed. Their smoked cheddar cheese (sauce) is delicious.
The decor was warm, inviting and comfortable. The staff was friendly and attentive. I should also admit that the legs on the blondes made me feel very warm inside. We didnt know Moxie's has the same attributes as our fave restaurants (with co-workers). That's a nice touch.
Overall, I enjoyed our visit even though we were rushed to eat this time. There are a number of items I'd like to try, so we'll probably go back again sometime.

Absolutely Not Going Back
Submitted Saturday, October 22, 2011 - 3:24pm [Dine in]

Went here last night at the behest of my girl who wanted to try this 'sushi place' because she likes all sorts of oriental foods. I had my doubts but didn't argue because we finally had arranged to spend a night together after so long. I was also hoping they take us in, feed us and get us out of there as fast possible. You know what happened next right?
First, the food, for so little you pay so much. Frozen fish that is served raw with a side of ginger and some radish and how much?? My god.
Second, the waitress was alone on shift and took sooo long. After taking our order which my girlfriend picked salmon cuts and white fish cuts and some other stuff took so long to arrive. The tea was cold by then too.
They have not attempted much to decorate or spruce the place and it was still packed with people from Richmond. Of course, you can tell where everyone is from and as I said it was too expensive for the amount of food.
