Not bad for commercial drive fare.

I come here every couple of months and have not been overly impressed. The food is nothing to write home about but it's pretty good sea fare. The service is spotty despite being well staffed which is the biggest turn off. The patio for brunch most days of the year(very well heated) is great for people watching and having mohitos. I'll be back.

Last Saturday I was a bit hesitant to try this new(ish) Mediterranean joint I walk by so often after reading the mixed, if not polar reviews on Dinehere. After doing a little browsing I saw that this place won three out of the six awards given out during 'Dine Out Vancouver', it was settled. My wife and I walked in at seven thirty and the hostess asked us if we would be okay with waiting a couple of minutes at the bar while they set up a window table for us. Barely two minutes later we were seated and ordered drinks, bla bla bla. Our server was efficient and well timed despite being quite packed. We ordered some mussels because we weren't quite sure what to have for our entrees and were brought some freshly baked bread(mmmmmmm). The busser(?) who brought the bread seemed very well informed about the menu and following his recommendations I ended up having the lamb and my wife, the Confit duck risotto. Both dishes were incredible. The best lamb shank I've tasted in this city by far. I will DEFINITELY be coming back once their patio is open in the summer.
