Absolutely Worth Every Order I Make
Submitted Friday, January 28, 2011 - 9:38pm [Delivery]

I order consistently the Palak Paneer from this restaurant.

I have tried one other vegetarian curry from this restaurant only because I had ordered the Palak Panir twice a week for months in a row (ever since I discovered Maurya) and thought it was time to try something new, and the Chicken Chettinad. Every meal I have ordered from this restaurant has been a culinary delight. I recommend ordering from this restaurant. The spices and flavors they use are delicious and I am not confident trying my hand at Indian style cuisine after eating here as I am certain I will not prepare something of this quality.

General cost is 11 to 20 dollars per main. Absolutely worth the cost!

Gigi's Pizza & Spaghetti House189 West Broadway, Vancouver
Not worth the expense

On our order tonight was the Halibut bites, Chicken wings, Pizza, Cheesecake and Baklava.

Cheesecake and Pizza tasted ok but nothing you would go to a restaurant for. I could have made a much more impressive Pizza at home in the time it took to order this one and the cheesecake bought in a box at your local supermarket is of the same quality (only you will afford an entire cake for the price of one slice from Gigis). The Chicken wings were poor quality and the Baklava tasted unusual. I'm not sure if it was still good to eat or not. The Halibut bites are literally 'fish fingers' or the equivalent of Chicken nuggets with fish flavor in place of chicken flavor. Something that would be truly impressive if I was 5 and had no idea what went into food or how much better real foods tasted.

All in all this is the sort of meal you would expect to pick up at a service station in the middle of no where on a lunch break in a long road trip. The total cost of our dinner tonight was $65. I would rather have cooked for myself and won't be ordering from Gigis again.
