Maybe we got lucky
Submitted Tuesday, January 15, 2008 - 12:07pm [Dine in]

After reading all the reviews, I suspect we may have gotten lucky by choosing to go to this restaurant early (5pm) on a Friday: we had the place to ourselves and had quite attentive service. Sometimes a young couple, not ordering any alcohol, is treated rudely, but not in this case. Server was great with re-filling waters. The window was open and someone was spraying a hose at the awnings nearby, which was spraying us a bit; the server went outside to ask the person to stop, and finally closed the window and apologized profusely.
Garlic bread was the best I've ever had!!! Entree portions were huge and we took more than half home. Not a cheap meal, but given that we got two meals out of it, not so bad either. We'll have to go back again to see if we did indeed get lucky with our experience!

Great experience

My boyfriend and I often have trouble finding restaurants to eat at, as he has IBD and cannot digest fibre, while I like the option of having veggies. Both times we have been to the Main, he was able to substitute extra potatoes instead of salad and rice without the server batting an eye. The food is great, there is plenty of it, and service is quick. Any place that willingly substitutes to accomodate C's restrictions is great in my books.
