Went there on a thursday night and there was a 20 minute wait..no problem, we just found seats in the bar. About 15 minutes later we had to flad someone down and ask if we could order and they couldnt figure out who are server is, once she showed up there was no "sorry took me so long" she seemed like she had just started working there ie. had no idea how to be a server, when we asked her she said she had been there since the orignal Joey's opened up....boy were we surprised
We had absolutely no complaints with the food...however my fries we rubbery, but they brought out a new batch and that was fixed...crab and arti dip were great
service was HORRIBLE! cactus club's service Rocks comapered to joeys, even earls and moxie's service was better...bad service really puts a damper on the whole evening

Love Tanpopo, we always go there for the happy hour, between 3 and 5. Its great in the summer time when you can sit on the rooftop pation, considering downtown vancouver has very little of them to offer. But the food is great, its not very often taht ungai is included in happy hours at other places, so that's always a treat.
Never had a problem with their food, service, or anything for that matter.....hmm getting hungry and its almost three....might just go for some sushi!

India Bistro1157 Davie Street, Vancouver
A gem

We ate at India Bistro the first time about a few months ago and have been regulars since. India Bistro has a great vibe on a friday or saturday night, as the street outside (Davie Street) is bustling with action.

The whole experince starts with their infamous doorman, who is just vibrant. Their food selection is great, not too much and not too little. the prices are quite reasonable and the serving sizes are just right...i hate it when the servings are much too big and end up in the garbage.

Service is great, the servers are very attentive and if you're in a hurry you know you never have to wait too long for the food. Overall my partner and i are always happy when we walk out the doors

ps: the decor is very nice, it has a very comfortable feel to the place, a very warm feel...nice place for a first date...first dinner and then just walk down to english bay for a stroll on the beach
