There are better places

Initially I used to love this place but then I started to notice how the lady owner Mrs. Shiro tends to pretend to get really stressed or let her anxiety show by rushing her wait staff and then make the dining in experience rather unpleasant. Its not a good place to relax and enjoy good fish and sake. Even if you intend to only stay for some grub and run, the owner's stressful demeanor makes it unpleasant. I find a far better sushi place to go in Kits and have decided that this place is really not worth my drive to. The food is good but not outstanding. Having a basic command of Japanese, I can tell the lady owner is often rushing her staff to literally run to the various tables so it makes the restaurant look bustling. Not pleasant dining experience. Take out ok.

I fear for the worst

i have tried this place twice. first time i was baffled at the need to serve for them to have jumbo sushi. sushi is supposed to be bited sized but the mere size of the rice rolls scared me. the fish did not taste fresh and i dine at many many japanese places on a regular basis. i hope i am not being rude here but vietnamese people cannot be running a japanese restaurant as i highly doubt they know the skill of handling raw food. this is evident in them cutting the fish in such large pieces. but if its quantity and not quality, this place may be fine. but even that, i fear for my health and will choose not to return again.

An apres work place

its Japanese tapas style here and they do it so well. great drink features, loud and fun service and quaint well prepared dishes make it such a delight. I patronised this place on a regular basis and it never failed to impress. not a romantic place nor a good business place to meet but rather a place for friends and family to get together, dine, drink and be merry. Stellar dishes include chicken karrage, okonomiyaki, fried calimair, beef yaki udon amongst many others.
