Rose Thai1425 Marine Drive, #130, West Vancouver
A unique Thai Restaurant in West Van

A warm and inviting restaurant in a nice, easy to find location in West Vancouver, and lots of parking. A very good place for lunch and dinner in a nice clean decor, with warm lighting and a romantic atmosphere for conversations. The food is very good, and the tea presentation is beautiful. Definitely coming back for the tea and to try other food items on the menu.

Contemporary decor and breath-taking views

A nice contemporary and elegant restaurant, with a modern flair and a fireplace in the focal point of the restaurant. Breath-taking views of the waterfront and heated outdoor patio, with nice live jazz.

Good selection of food menu items - beautiful bar and lovely people.

I would definitely go there for dinner and bring all my friends.

Sala Thai888 Burrard, #102, Vancouver
Only Thai Restaurant on Burrard

I have been there on a regular basis (at least once every 2 weeks or so). Nice ambience and nice display of melon art near the main entrance. Male staff seems friendlier and more approachable than female staff. The restaurant looks clean, tidy and could accommodate a lot of people (unlike the one on Cambie Street).

Dinner dishes are generally good, but the portions are VERY small for the price. I don't normally eat a lot at dinner time, but the last few times I've been there, I was still hungry after ordering 2 dishes and a bowl of rice. Good thing that if you're not into too much spice, you have the option to choose "mild" or "non-spicy."

So, one area of improvement is to increase the portions of the dinner dishes. Thanks!

I wouldn't recommend the restaurant.

One time, my friend visited the restaurant, and found that the restaurant was closed for private parties, but there was no sign on the door to indicate that. When my friend opened the door, he was told in an unfriendly manner that they were closed for a private party. This is a Filipino restaurant located in New Westminster, yet they make little effort in extending themselves to the community as a whole, a place welcome to people of all ethnic backgrounds. Non-Filipinos often feel out-of-place.

There was another incident where my friend made dinner reservations for 5 people. It was an important event for them, but only to discover that when they got there, the reservation was never taken and a table was not available. The restaurant owner was made aware of this, but nothing was done about it - not even an apology. My friend was shocked! Unbelievable.
