Too bad for Japanese

For the table we had a couple of orders of the Sushi Deluxe ($24) & an order of Sashimi ($29). What a disappointment! Do not order sashimi if you are coming to this restaurant, with these prices you are expecting fresh soft sashimi. Instead I felt like I was raw fish from a dollar sushi spot when they are having an "off" day. Even the sushi pieces were a bit of a gamble so I would recommend playing it safe & order rolls.

The staff are not into service and look past you.

We were all so put off by the disappointing entrees that we opted to go elsewhere for dessert. Not that it's a terrible sushi spot, but how do charge these prices & not have the sashimi to back it up?

We thought they would be more of a restaurant. You know, food, comfortable seats and a chance to catch up. Instead it was just your typical dive bar. Pool, darts, pitchers of beer, lame group of guys trying to insult you without knowing it (at least I hope they dont know how insulting they are). They do have a food menu but it is not that rich. Oh, and beware of the creepy businessmen with the power suits. Um, excuse me, "do I know you?" Gross.

Great: I love the food at this restaurant. They will accommodate any special orders even if it means cooking something for you and just for you. The food is delicious, not greasy and looks good. It looks like their chefs use quality ingridients. I enjoyed the salad and the chicken.
Great: The service was kind and considerably nicer than most places. Our waitress was bubbly and very willing to serve. She was dressed very well and said yes to everything we wanted. She was tipped appropriately.
Great: way cool ambiance. Nice gents, nice ladies, nice seating and of course it was happening. It is a happy atmosphere and thankfully a later hour ensured no kids were around. Don't know if they come for lunch but it was wine sipping time and its only possible without toddlers and infants of course. They do have big screens but that means nothing to us being into our own convos. Also, no disrespect meant, but no greasy men were ogling or trying to disturb us.
Disappointing: they already charge a pretty penny, but they charged us for relish and horseradish and mustard. Seriously! $5 for condiments? Dont think I didnt hate it and didnt notice they are charging for something thats free at any restaurant. Mustard is free at any burger joint. But they charge for it at a $100 meal table at this restaurant. Are you serious?
