Ok indian food, too expensive.
Submitted Tuesday, April 15, 2014 - 4:33pm [Dine in]

I tried Sulam after a few friends recommended it.

First impression was that the place does not really look Indian. I've been to enough Indian restaurants to see what they usually look like and to determine patterns. That place just does not look like it.
That's not bad I would say, just odd at first.

We ordered and our food came a little bit late, but the waitress was nice and looked like she wanted to really serve as well so no complains about the service. Outstanding I would say, it's not her fault the plates are coming in a bit late. (I hope)

In terms of the value, yes, I would say it's expensive. Not the place's and food's value.

Nevertheless, not bad and I would come back again.

This place is great for a quick pizza! Its close to UBC and so we go with friends sometimes. You can also order online through their website..

They also have like indian style pizzas which I personally love like their butter chicken pizza. Or you can also go for their signature which is great as well.

My new favorite Indian restaurant in vancouver

So I tried Handi Cuisine when they had an special for UBC students recently. Saw it over their Facebook page. Thought some Indian friends would like it and it's close enough so we tried it.

First off, the place is great when you come in. The bar tender greeted us, stepped out and fixed a table for us right there.

After having the drinks, the food came - no appetizers, we were really hungry. haha - The food was divine really. I've been to enough Indian restaurants where the food is so spicy, TOO heavy, TOO greasy, etc. This place was just perfect. The service was outstanding with him at first and then the waitress taking our food and bringing more naan and stuff. Continuously.

Love the place and for sure I would come back in a heartbeat!

Bad Fast food style sushi

To start, the place is in a sky train station, AND it's only cash. Talk about hit and run.

So you will buy a combo for about 10 - 13 bucks I'd say for OK looking sushi. The taste wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. I would say your money is way better spent in a place like subway even. For that kind of money you can have a sweet lunch at a nice sit down sushi place.
