We went back to Cloud Nine for early dinner on a wonderfully sunny evening.
Service was friendly and quaint as only Asian Gentlemen of a certain age can manage. We were made to feel very comfortable.
Food was homely and solid. Not spectacular but very tasty.
View incredible as usual.
Overall, very good value with the early bird discount.
Would go again and have recommended it to all our friends.
We chose the pasta buffet and enjoyed the expereince. The pasta is prepared before your eyes by Angelo, who was extremely friendly and cheerful.
Pasta itself was good and complimented by a decent salad selection.
We sat outdoors and the ambiance was relaxed but not really of the sophistication one might have expected in a 5 star hotel. Service was good. The place was not busy.
Overall, a nice luch but the buffet is not extensive (no deserts etc).
Only real negative comment was that the servers used a rather untidy table to store their dishes etc in the corner of the patio.
We took luncheon in ''Griffins'' on 20th May. The place was very busy but tables adequately spaced. The buffet is not extensive but food was very fresh and well prepared; all tasted as if it had just come from the kitchen. Highlights included the salmon and the deserts. Ambiance very comfortable.
Service was adequate but our female server seemed to have come from Eastern Europe and brought all the joys of a Moscow cafe to her performance. At one point she held out her hand expecting us to pass the dishes to her! Such service is not one would expect from a 5-Star Hotel. To her credit she seemed very busy and was perhaps just overwhlemed (management might examine the staffing issue).
Overall a pleasant lunch; good solid food which we felt to be well priced. We would try other Hotels prior to rushing back as it was not stunning.
