This is just a clarification on my post below.

My wife and I (she is chinese) eat at many busy Asian restaurants and expecting a "how you all doin?" smiling face is not our expectations.

If they would have stopped my wife at the door and said "sorry but we cannot seat you until your full party is there" then so be it. The fact that it happened after they were seated, handed menus, coats off , ready to order etc - where they had to endure the embarassment is what is unacceptable. They broke their own rule by seating my family without checking the party's size and then backpedalled to the embarassment of my wife.

Sun Sui Wah is the best

Me and my Family have been going to Sun Sui Wah since my son was 3 months old (he is 7 now). Over the past 7 years the food has been incredible, the service amazing. We go there for Dim Sum a few times a month and have booked many large meals there. The crab, lobster, duck are all top notch not to mention their great squab.Dim Sum is the best in the city in 2008.

Its simply the best in Vancouver
