BP has lost it
Submitted Thursday, February 8, 2007 - 8:19pm [Dine in]

BP used to be consistent and good quality food back in the nineties. Their expansion degraded the quality of their food and service is a joke. I was in the one by save ons and all the servers and cooks were talking to each other like school kids, leaving the customers waiting for service.

When I was there, the cook left the pasta in the water way too long, the steak was frozen when he cooked it and that was the worst food I have ever eaten in a long time. BP needs help ands its sad because their food used to be good but now its the worst of the worst in terms of quality.

Barb's Place Fish & Chips310 St. Lawrence Street, Victoria
Tourist Trap

Barbs used to be awesome when the fish was thick, the price was reasonable, and the quality of the food was great. That is what made Barb's great and the good food created the popularity. Now they are abusing this popularity to skimp on the fish and quality. Barbs is no longer the place it used to be, there is more batter than fish, the fries are lumpy, and they just don't care anymore. The original Barb sold it and now the place sucks because of it.

Noodle Box, The626 Fisgard St., Victoria

When the owner used to have the food stall on the corner of Fisgard and Store, the food was cheap and his food had the same taste as the authentic street vendors that you would find in SE Asia. Since he has moved and has become popular, the food has degraded in quality. There is too much sauce that no longer has any character of how he used to cook it. The dishes are inconsistent and bland. The amount of protein that you get now is minimal and the prices jacked up. I suggest you go to Thai Bistro on Johnson that is 30 percent less and 5 times more authentic than the food you now get at the noodlebox. I just feel that the food here is overrated for the price you pay.
