Never again

Ok, I like to eat good food, but I also don't want to be ripped off. That happened today.

My boyfriend and I went to the Bakehouse in Edgemont Village and ordered 2 large lemonades, a tuna melt and a wild salmon salad. We thought that a $30.00 lunch was expensive, but that it would be good. WRONG!

The lemonades, while home made was tiny for a large. $3.50? No way! People order lemonade hoping for a nice tall glass of refreshing pleasure. This was served without ice in a takeout coffee cup.

Next up - the salad and tuna melt. What a joke! The tuna melt was tasty enough, but not $9.50 tasty and no side? Just two SMALL pieces of baguette with melted cheese. Again, not worth the spend.

Finally, the wild salmon salad - a small bowl of romaine lettuce with a piece of fish on top. Not a big piece of fish, a small piece of fish. On top of that some crappy dressing. Totally not worth $10.50. Milestones makes a much better salad that is triple in size with more ingredients for just about $1.50 more. Come on now!

Don't take advantage of people in Edgemont Village because they have limited dining options! That's just plainly crass. Shame on you! Do better and either lower your prices or produce a better product. I will NEVER eat there again.

Don't know why...

My friends like to go here. They live in Pitt Meadows and I guess options are limited. I don't like mayo, but love me a spicy tuna roll. I was disappointed to see it arrive to the table absolutely drenched in spicy mayo. If that's your thing, then you'll like it. I don't know, the service is mediocre, the food is a bit over-priced and the food is nothing to write home about. Not too excited either way.

Good Sushi

I love going to Sushi Sky. My favourite is their mango avocado roll. You can count on them for consistency. I am a roll person and cannot vouch for their other menu items, but I love their rolls and their service. When thinking of sushi - they are the first on my list. It's not the biggest restaurant, so I recommend getting take-out :)
