Too bad.. but the food sucks but the service was good
Submitted Saturday, May 30, 2009 - 2:37am [Dine in]

Came during a very empty lunch time. The restaurant looks very inviting and the decore is really nice. Very vegas and very open space.

I had the Pad Tai which unfortunately had no flavour whatsoever. No meat or seafood. Just noodle and some greasy light broth that offered not a whole lot of taste. The portion was large but again.. it sucked to be honest. My partner had the risotto which wasn't that good either. Not ever close to al dente but just straight up undercooked.

This place has potential but again.. it's a casino and it's not meant to bring in people for food and nor would they hire a good chef perhaps?

Server was always attentive and very pleasant. Her service was pretty perfect. We still left a good tip for her.

Very Western Pan Asian

What you'd expect for a very westernized "pan-asian" restaurant.

Had the lettuce wrap that didn't have a whole lot of chicken but lots of noodles. Still tasted great. Kung Pao Chicken was good and the overall feel of the joint was good.

Value was on par and service was very good.

Can't say I WOULD come back but for what it is it wasn't bad at all.

My boyfriend and I ate here last Thursday in the evening. It was pretty busy and we really didn't expect to have such a fabulous meal.

We were picking up my mother in law at the airport and decided to go to the Steveston area since it was close and we really didn't know our way around the rest of Richmond. We walked around the restaurants and we felt like pasta so we ended up here.

I wish they had one of these down in Kits where we live. I had some pasta dish with spicy sausage and penne pasta and it was awesome. My boyfriend had a seafood canelloni which was suggested by our server and he absolutely loved it.

Prices were MORE than reasonable and we're really considering taking my mom in law for Mother's day here now. It's worth the drive for us and we're just sick of chain restaurants and all the sub par boutique restaurants we seem to run into.

Several other dishes went by us during our meal that looked tempting so we're really looking forward to our next visit!

Gotta pay to play

Was here for a friends birthday.

There were 11 of us and we sat at a large table in the back area of the restaurant.

Now.. this isn't a place for the faint hearted. It's a face paced upscale venue with a menu that caters to meat lovers. I love steaks and I don't get so many chances to splurge on them as I'd like so I was looking forward to this meal.

I'm hoping it's better than my last meal at the Keg which is a chain that I believe that has gone downhill.

So I ordered the Tenderloin and calamari to start. The calamari in my opinion wasn't worth the money. It was tasty but the portion was ultra small. The tenderloin was very good. Perfect the way I like it at Medium rare.

Most of the party enjoyed the food except for a very picky few and I left there satisified. It's not Gotham / morton's expensive and they've found a little niche in between the quality of the Keg and the bigger steakhouses.

I like the decor and it reminded me of the Earl's on hornby but not as busy and young.

I'd definetely come back but my current income as a student tells me not anytime soon even though I'd love to.

Great steask, good drink .. maybe up the value on the appetizers and we have a pretty good place to watch the games and have a fun night of chillin and partying here.

My friends and I come here all the time. You get a massive plate of Shawarma (seasoned and roasted chicken on a rotisserie) , hummus, tabloueh and rice and your'e FULL!

We have yet to find a place with better shawarma meat. THere are tone of these places in the downtown area and we love coming back to this one on Robson.

If you have a sweet tooth do try their homemade namora which they have sometime or the baclava.

I gave a 2 ambiance rating because it really isn't a factor for this type of setup.

Something different

This place is tiny.. more cafee shop type setup. They probably have only 20 seats or less in a VERY narrow room.

I had the Hummus and Lamb Kefta. THe lamb Kefta was a bit burnt but that didn't bother me. Lots of great flovours on a plate and I was very satisfied with my meal. Price was right and for what you get don't expect service to match that of a full blown restaurant. THey make do with what they have and they did a great job.

If you're looking for fast eats with unique cuisine this place is a real hit. I'm a student so finding little joint like this without paying a whole lot is right up my alley.
