beware of their recommendations

their food is ok but definitely not outstanding.. chicken karaage is very dry... the sushi and sashimi is fresh but not impressive..

beware when the servers make suggestions... they always hv some fish that's not on the menu... make sure u ask the price b4 u order... last time the server told us there is red toro sushi and we ordered... turned out we paid $8 for each red toro sushi for each of us... we were lucky that we didn't order all that server suggested... or we won't know how much our bill will be.... our meal that night was $50 per person..

my feeling is... their menu items are overpriced generally...

wonder if it can stay long in business

we always drive by this restaurant and see the 'all day $4.99' sign... we've been thinking to give this restaurant a try.. but we always catch them when they are closed. So this late afternoon we went. when we got in we regret already. we thought it is a HK style cafe.. but it isn't.. I dunno what it is honestly... the $4.99 dinner = the 2 items + fried rice or fried noodles or steam rice.... i.e. exactly what u can get in a chinese food court..... they do hv others items to choose from.. but those r mostly fried rice or fried noodles... selections is very limited..

so my husband ordered a pork udon in soup... taste was so so.. the pork is not fresh... I didn't order anything cuz it was just a snack but I rather not to eat there..

but the thing pissed us off the most is... they charge 25 cents for tea.. in fact.. charging for tea is fine.. if we order it.....we didn't order the tea and the lady served us the tea when we got in... so we thought that's free.. but when we get the bill (a paper with no name or nothing.. just writing for the charges) we were billed for tea!!! 50cents is nothing... but we feel that it's a rip off... we thought we were in China!!!

absolutely not recommended...
