Glad I Didn't Buy a Groupon- Don't Waste Your Money
Submitted Monday, January 9, 2012 - 9:29am [Dine in]

I was going to buy a Groupon for La Rustica and then realised I had a coupon from the Entertainment Book. There were 8 of us for a special dinner. Out of the 8 people exactly ZERO were happy with their main course. I will say though, the original escargot and calamari were good appetizers, as was the bread. The entrees varied from osso bucco to veal to lasagne, spaghetti and meat balls, chesse stuffed ravioli and a pasta dish. We will never go back again. Amazing how a restaurant that shares a kitchen with Spaghetteria can have such lousy food. Should have gone to L'Artista like we originally planned.

This is the second time we have been to this restaurant. What are the chances of a party of 5 all thoroughly enjoying their food? Well we did. Not only the best calamari I have ever tasted, but the moral mushrooms fresh in from the Queen Charlotte's were excellent. The beef bourignon was melt in your mouth delicious. If you are lucky enough to have room for dessert, there is an array of fresh made delicacies to choose from. Unfortunately none of us had room for dessert this time. If you are looking for a restaurant with excellent food & a relaxing atmosphere, this is the place to go.

Very disapointing. Although the food was cooked well & it is always fun to watch them cook, everything had the same flavors added to it. There were 4 in our group, 2 had the lobster/prawn & chicken dish, 1 had scallops/prawn & 1 had prawn/chicken. Every single dish had the same sauce added to it, leaving everything with the same flavoring. Was nice to start with but sickening by the end. Considering prices start at $25 for that kind of food we will not be back. To bad, we were looking forward to a new eatery.
