Started off with the peking duck springroll...somewhat decent only because the dried pieces of meat were saved by the deep fried grease. After eating the $4.95 cali roll and the $13.95 mongolian beef strips it dawned on me that you can get the same thing in a mall food court. Had to send back the calamari because it was overcooked and too rubbery...I wanted a new order but the manager came over and explained to me that the chef tried one and it is supposed to be "like that". I kindly asked him to just cook it for no longer than 2 minutes until it was a light golden brown, but he continued to argue with me saying that's how it's done in china, yadda yadda... he insisted I order something else instead.

If you like your drinks watered down, crave bland asian food in the beautiful surroundings of fake wood walls then come on down and empty your wallets.

cardboard butter chicken
Submitted Tuesday, October 17, 2006 - 4:57pm [Dine in]

We ate here around 2pm today for the buffet and i gotta say that the butter chicken tasted like cardboard...it was DRY. pretty much everything looked 5 hours old and the guy working there confirmed it. I've been to other indian buffets on main and they routinely refill their buffets with fresh food. When I complained to the waitress she told the guy and he came over and I asked him if he would make a new one and if he tasted it himself so he can see how dry it is he said "no...we make it fresh every morning...you are the first person to complain about it" He repeated himself three times about the fresh every morning thing..hmmmm...

So assuming that the buffet stuff was cooked ONLY in the morning, that makes the food 5 hours old??? he didn't even apologize about it, he just told me to go and eat something else off the buffet. =(
I didn't bother, all I had was just a few bites of the mushroom salad and our pockets are out $19.15 for two.

Besides all that..the selection is poor, flavours are bland, the service is a disgrace and I'll never set foot in here again.
