I'll never go again
Submitted Monday, March 29, 2010 - 8:51pm [Dine in]

You have to try hard to be this bad.

First off, the service. Started off with a long wait to be seated even though we had reservations, we then had to wait another 15 minutes for the first visit by a server. Water appeared on our table 10 minutes later, drinks took another 15 minutes... you get the picture.

Secondly, the food. How does a pie place run out of ice cream before 8 pm? Seriously. And both types of ice cream (regular and soy) to boot! The next item I ordered was also MIA although I had to wait until my table-mates received their dishes to find out the bad news.

Finally, and this is perhaps the worst part, they overcharged us on the bill. Twice. There was an extra $20 on the bill the first time and an extra $10 on it the second time.

I'll never go again.

Super popular (and deservedly so) for dim sum
Submitted Friday, February 5, 2010 - 8:38pm [Dine in]

as others have said, the decor/ ambiance is beautiful and a huge improvement over the former restaurant at this location (the Flamingo). Line ups are common during peak dim sum times.

Food at dim sum is great. I've been about 5 times now and am always happy. Service is decent. But did I mention that the food is great? There's no dim sum cart, you order off a menu which means the food is more likely to be hot.

I'll be back.

Good HK food for eat-in or take out
Submitted Friday, February 5, 2010 - 7:59pm [Dine in]

Been here many times (10+) and more often for take out/ delivery.

Food is almost always good/ great. I'm usually happy with the service so I'm surprised to see some negative comments here. It's one of the friendlier HK/ Chinese restaurants I've been too and I don't speak Chinese. Ambiance is OK - more like a place to eat rather than a place to spend the evening.

I'll be back both for eat-in and take out.
