One of the few good bubble tea restaurants left

I really enjoy Chiffon...especially their rice! I like how they give you three samples of side dishes on your plate.

Their food is pretty good compared to most bubble tea places...but their service isn't as great. The girls usually get the wrong order if it's a medium-sized group, but then again, the food is good!

My favourite things on the menu are: souffle toast, marinated pork with red onion sauce (or something like that) and of course, the salt and pepper chicken

It used to be good

I was craving some fresh fruit bubble tea today...and I decided to go to this one cuz the one next door had a longer line.

I saw that FRESH HONEYDEW JUICE SLUSH was one of the specials so I ordered that with pearls. When I took a sip of it in the car, it was...well, the flavour instantly reminded me of the time I went to some place and asked for honeydew and they gave me some crappy powder honeydew bbt.

The "fresh" part was probably throwing in a few pieces of honeydew, and then adding in powder and sugar to make it taste like something. First, it wasn't a slush at all...it was a thick juice. When | went back to get an adjustment, the guy just tossed it in the blender and gave it back to me, all the while returning my bitter glare.

I asked the girl behind the counter whether this was really fresh fruit, and she said yes. I asked if it was ALL fresh fruit and she finally admitted that they put a "little bit" of powder in. I then asked if I could order it without the powder and she said "no, because that's how we make it."

I guess that's business, but I learned my lesson about the kind of business this bubble tea runs.

I miss the people that used to work here. That used to give me real honeydew juice with pearls. But it's really hard to find a good bubble tea place nowadays.

Really dirty restaurant...
Submitted Monday, June 8, 2009 - 1:08am [Dine in]

My friends and I came here one day after class, and we had a really large group...almost 20 people I think. The servers didn't give us enough chairs, and we had to add an extra table ourselves...

The cups were disgusting. We had them replaced three times and there was still something in there each time. The third time, the girl inspected a cup she was going to give us, but she looked inside and decided to get another one, and that one was dirty too, she had to go through about 4 before she picked a clean one.

When the servers asked for the menus, you could hear the menu peeling off of the sticky table. My napkin got stuck on the table.

There was a squished piece of something (i don't even want to know what it was) on the bottom of a plate. All the plates were greasy and stuck to the sticky table.

The food wasn't bad, nothing spectacular. The servers didn't really respect a big group of teenagers.

Basically, just avoid this place unless you're really desperate for some not too expensive sushi.
