Best and Healthiest Fast Food in Town
Submitted Friday, November 11, 2005 - 12:44pm [Dine in]

My husband stumbled onto Steamrollers, and since then it has been our choice for fast food. Burritos can be ordered with brown rice to increase the healthy factor. Favourite selections include the chicken Tommy (a "wet" burrito with tomatillo sauce) and the Shanghai noodle specialty burrito (only available on Tuesdays, unfortunately). In addition to the three locations on the downtown peninsula, there is one on Broadway at Heather near VGH, and one on Lonsdale at 15th in North Van.

Awesome food at an incredible price!

My husband and I ate lunch for only $16 total! The food was delicious! We had potato soup, a green salad and a chicken panini, and all were excellent. The weather was warm (and dry) enough to sit at one of the small tables outside. I will definitely be going back, as there are many other items on the menu that i want to try.

No Vegetables with the Main Dishes!
Submitted Friday, November 11, 2005 - 11:30am [Dine in]

Food: Starters were excellent. We had the black sesame salmon candy (wow!), the goat cheese stuffed chicken wings (very good) and the crimini mushroom and brie pithiviers (excellent!). The main dishes were a disappointment, though, primarily because we hadn't known what to expect. Both were a lot of meat and not much else (not even much sauce). We realized afterwards that we should have ordered only one main dish to share between the two of us, and ordered several sides of vegetables, as the main dishes don't come with any vegetables.

Other: Great view! We sat right up against the window, looking out at the Granville Bridge and False Creek. Service was very good. The chairs aren't terribly comfortable, as there is no back to lean against.
