The food is good, but the price gone up a notch

Went to the restaurant with friends for lunch on a Sunday, it wasn't extremely busy since the restaurant is only half filled. The cooked food and sushi are decent, and the plating are nice. Somehow, the ownder of this place believe they can shoot up the price of menu by 10%~15% without improvement of the menu itself is very awkward.
This place will be one of those restaurant to stop by 3~6 months later to see if they keep up with their quality, not to mention they just renovated and re-launched.

Excellent Sushi, service still needs improvement

I've visit this sushi place for many times over the recent years, mainly with friends to have dinner on Friday or Saturday.
The waiting line is expected, it's Sushi Garden's culture.

Food: very nice as always, sashimi are fresh and cold, scallop rolls taste fresh and decent flavor.

Service: it always been the "ouch" spot for this place, the boss is unwilling to accept the fact they are BUSY and need at least 1 more server on the floor.

Value: It's good price for the portion you are getting, and the freshness of the food.

Ambiance: it's average like other sushi places, the decor it's simple, nothing special, and crowded seating plan it's just too typical for authentic sushi place. Even the good sushi shop I visit down in San Franscisco are relatively the same.

Definitely will come back to this restaurant, but definitely recommending coming in earlier, or expect waiting to be 20~40 mins.

What on Earth is happening here? Enough is ENOUGH!!!

My family have visited this places since it was opened, since my mom has always loved to come here for Seafood Nabeyagi Udon, since we all know the sushi is just mediocre quality, not to mention watching the moisure in those plate on the food belt. On a Sunday lunch, my mom had the craving for her udon again, so we went Taisho once more. It wasn't a busy day, no line up, not fully seated yet as well. Everything is "ok" as they always were, not very attentive, took our order, brought the food to the table, and left us all along.
My mom dislike shellfish, so the clams are always given to me or my dad. The problem smack right into me and my dad mouth when we were eating the clams from the seafood Nabeyagi udon, it's full of "SAND"!!!!!! Not one, or two, all three of the clams had mouthful of SAND!! It just totally turned down my appetite of the day, and wondering what are the cook doing (isn't it basic knowledge to put clams in salted water so they would actually spit out sands). And the sledge hammer wack in our face when we called the manager, and he dared to give useless excuse "we can't guarantee every clam is without sand, since we bought them in"!!!! And refuse to do anything about it. I pretty much argued with him, yet he doesn't seem to care beside adjust the bill by like $5. I also called him over once more to removed the 15% Gratitude they dare to put on my bill, and I gladly left the place wihtout any tip, and convinced my mom never return again.

P.S. I'm working in the restaurant field as well, and everything goes out of the kitchen to the customer has to be cleaned, cooked, edible. It's NOT acceptable when the clam has sand in them at all.
