Waiter hassled us for not tipping enough!
Submitted Thursday, September 24, 2009 - 3:25pm [Dine in]

We will NEVER go back!! We used to frequent this place quite often but not anymore. Last time when we paid for our bill, the waiter had the audacity to tell us that we did not leave enough tip and he held out the tray demanding we leave more!! Service SUCKED yet we still left a decent tip, but apparently not good enough! Demanding that 20% is the norm for shoddy service -- WHO does this?! ! I see that there are a couple more reviews re this same issue. Completely shocking and absolutely appalling behaviour! Why could they not perhaps just ask if everything was alright so they can correct rather than making a scene and embarrassing customers!!!!

Terrible Dim Sum!
Submitted Tuesday, February 3, 2009 - 4:38pm [Dine in]

I also found the restaurant's food quality just terrible. Our spring rolls were greasy as well, with a mushy filling that was unrecognizable -- as though all the ingredients were pureed together; either that or the filling was cooked to death. The har gao was very large, but the shrimp was totally overcooked and completely flavourless. The siu mai was definitely the largest I have ever seen, but at the same time, it had to be the most grotesque looking thing I have ever eaten. They didn't taste that bad, but it looked as though they were made by a bunch of toddlers. There definitely was no effort in creating these and they did not look appetizing. I don't understand why there was such a need to make them so giant; perhaps less labour?

As for the service, it took about a half hour before the first dish arrived, and then the other items arrived in intervals of 10+ minutes. Also, it was disappointing to learn that we were charged $4 for a pot of tea that we never requested in the first place. Not sure if they charge according to the amount of people that are at a table, as there was 4 of us, or if the price is per pot.

Parking is covered by the restaurant, which is about the only positive thing I can say.

With such an abundance of dim sum restaurants in this city, there is no point in returning for the shoddy food.
