I've been coming to this and only this donair place for about 3 years.
They're beef donair is ok, but the chicken and lamb are fab.
4 sauces(i suggest all) and extra add-on's if your up for it like fried mushrooms or onions. And the offer fresh feta on top. Yikes.
Been to many donair places in many local cities and over the years this has been the most consistant. Only complaint is the line gets in the way when your just grabbing a quick lunch to go.
Maybe not the best place to take someone on a dinner date but to sit down for a quick lunch it's pretty good.
You will find good service at these little cafe's but not like this.
Food comes quicker then you'd think. Bigger preportions then you'd get at other chain breakfast places. For a little greasy spoon restaurant it does an amazing job.
Maybe change up the coffee though. Last time it tasted fresh but maybe not such a good blend.
Three adults out for a late breakfast could only rack up a $25 bill.
I used to go to this restaurant every 2 weeks or so. My last time was a month ago that's when i decided never again.
At first I wasn't accustom to horrible service but I let it stand because the food was better then most pasta places. I would often have they're chicken provolone, nice mixture of both red and white sauces when you order it with the fettuccini alfredo with mushrooms.
Once I discovered at some other local seafood/italian restaurants my new found love for seafood I went back to the ol' polo for a dinner. They're seafood pasta primavera was my next task.
As usual, horrible service. My wine was fine but having it been a hot day my water was finished and after walking by 5 times within a foot of my table i had to tug on the waiters arm to get some more. The meal arrived after being given they're bread(which turned out to be the best part) barely room temp. The shrimp was fine if you like it way over cooked and barely chewable. The salmon had a grey tinge and appeared to be glued together not flaking apart at all. To my understanding that's a bad sign.
Been back twice since the seafood incident and realized they either lost they're touch or changed they're chef because even a simple dish like the provolone is now disgusting like the service.
For the price you do get a large plate of something.
Come here for the best pizza on southside Port Coquitlam(even including Megabite)
Hard to believe it, but, if times are hard you don't go out for dinner with your family of 4 and have 2 beers. The pizza's great, worth every penny. They have deals everyday. Goto Mc'Donalds and sneak in your liqour if you can't afford a great dinner with drinks.
