Siegel's Bagels1883 Cornwall, Vancouver

What could be more perfect before a day of work then grabbing a rosemary rocksalt bagel with light veggie cream cheese! I drool just thinking about it. The rugelas are superb and the varity of cream cheese is sure to please anyone. A Cimmon raison rugela to finish it off and you're set! I am personally very pleased by the selection of Happy Planet juices the have, I am personlly addicted to the Extream Green. :)

The service is good, although it can get a little busy which means a bit of a wait. Once, I chose a cream cheese off thier menu which read "Garden Vegitable Cream Cheese." I asked for the garden cream cheese, but when I open my bagel at work it was garlic. This happened twice before I actually saw the fellow right down "garlic" and corrected him. He told me they didn't have a garden and when I pointed it out of the menu he said "oh you mean veggie!"
Veggie? Garden? Whats the differance? Anyways. Now I know and they get it right everytime. I'm always happy when I trot in through the front door and smell the fresh food. It feels warm and cozy and watching the bakers in the back while I wait is entertaining. Overall, I'm generally happy when I'm done my breakfast. I always look forward to my next sojourn to Siegel's.

Personally, Handi is one o my favorite restaurants. I always order the chicken coconut, but I've tried the butter chicken, both of which are creamy and delicious! I'm not a big spice fan, so the food is just right for me.

The serice is friendly and competent. I have never been faced by an empty glass for more then a minute before it was replentished, a service I find often lacking in other restaurants. I can never tell whether the wait for the food seems long because of the aromas floating from the kitchen and the surrounding tables and my impatience stomach, or because it actually is a long wait, but either way I find the wait well worth it.

The decor is cute and the music is very apropos, which sets up the food very nicely. My only complaint would be the out-of-place and dusty floral patterned currtains in the from window, and the painly fake plants, both of which are major turn offs.

Overall, I think this restaurant is worth visiting, because you'll leave satisfied and full! Pricey? Perhaps, a little. However, I find it worth every penny.
