Kokoro Sushi6519 Victoria Drive, Vancouver
good value sushi
Submitted Saturday, April 16, 2011 - 12:44pm [Take-out]

i got take out from Kokoro on Victoria. The service was fantastic, which has a big impact on me returning to a restaurant. the girl that took my order was extremely nice and even called to let me know the order was ready.

the sushi is great value - 10% off ALL purchases (eat in & take out) and it's a good sized sushi. no skimping, not too much rice and just enough stuffing. nothing spilled out! they were quick too; 20 minutes and the order was done!

apparently they have bubble tea and milkshakes as well, whic i didn't get a chance to try but sushi and bubble tea is a really great combo idea!

i highly recommend this place as it will be my go-to place for neighbourhood sushi.

Tasty - will be back!
Submitted Wednesday, January 12, 2011 - 2:19pm [Dine in]

I went to Sushi Nara for the 1st time last night and the meal was very tasty. It appears to have Korean owners so we decided to have a mix of Korean and Japanese food (oden dubokki, yam tempura roll, spicy tuna roll, takoyaki appy, edamame, and Korean pancake).

The rolls were well made and a decent portion size (no skimping on anything!) and the dubooki was well made, not too spicy and just a hint of sweetness. The price was very reasonable and I'll definitely be returning back.

Also, in reponse to the previous commentor: the tea is Korean and so it is lukewarm (not hot green tea which is often found in Japanese restaurants).
