One of the best local sushi places

Our family always goes here. A family run sushi restaurant, food is always good and large portions. Reasonably priced for what you get, and that's not a bad thing. Make sure you order the Agadashi Tofu, it's awesome and huge hit on the appetizer menu. The lunch and dinner boxes are the best deal, but whatever fits your fancy.

Cheapest Chinese Dim Sum in town
Submitted Sunday, November 13, 2005 - 5:15pm [Dine in]

A friend of mine recommended this restaurant to me and told me it was the best dim sum deal in town. Never having been to this restaurant before, the restaurant is on the border between Burnaby and New Westminster. My family of 5 arrived at the restaurant on a Friday morning around 11:00 am. It's just a hole in the wall, and not a very fancy building, but inside it was just like any other Chanadian restaurant. Every dim sum was priced at $2.00 per plate with over 40 selections to choose from. Your common dim sum like shrimp dumplings, pork dumplings, and BBQ Pork buns, but also specialty dim sum like taro root cakes, chicken feet, and curried squid. We ate till we could no longer eat. Party of 5, 2 adults and 3 kids, the bill came to $40.00 including tip. Awesome deal for dim sum. Enjoy.

My wife and I arrive around 8:00 pm, and the place was packed. There was a waiting line 45 minutes for a table but 15 minutes for the bar seat. The got us in the bar seat under 15 minutes, and we started with drinks and appetizers there. Highly recommend the Double Happiness Martini; a strawberry, raspberry light martini, I had four and could of gone for more. We ordered the Duck in a steamed bun and seared tuna sashimi. The food was average, not chinese but as informed by a frequent diner; it was Chinese "Fusion". Whatever, the food we ordered was appys only, but after long conversations, friendly bar staff, and a relaxed atmosphere, it was about an hour. They finally offered us a table, but we declined as we were enjoying ourselves at the bar. Awesome place for drinks and light appys after work or anytime. Really enjoyed ourselves, and glad I read the reviews before going.

My wife and I arrived around 7 o'clock and the restaurant was packed. We managed to get 2 seats at the sushi bar. We ordered 4 plates (seared Ahi Tuna, Jellyfish, Tako and Tuna, and the seared eggplant.) and a large sake. Food was decorated exquisitely and was absolutely YUM ! The best of all our bill was $31.00 including the tip. A great deal in town for food, but arrive early.
