Something has changed

My family and I have been going to Sango for a number of years. The quality of food, presentation and creativity have been excellent. Went today and things have changed for the worse. I tried to order the chef's special sashimi. The waitress said it is the same as the deluxe sashimi but more expensive. I told her that I had had it in the past served on a block of ice. She said we don.t do that anymore. I explained that I wanted something special not just salmon and tuna. She said that I would not be disappointed I said ok but I want it special. It came and it was just salmon and tuna (some with hot sauce that was not mentioned). I told her that I was very disappointed . She just said OK. The negitoro box we always order was different and sub par. Other portions were much smaller. when the bill came I was given nothing for my disappointment but I was charged for items we never received. I tried to complain to the sushi chef. I asked him if they had changed hands. He did not answer just said he did not care.
We were a party of 5 plus a child bill was $145.00.
Maybe it is because it was a Monday. I think they have changed hands lowered the standards and don't care. It was a bad experience in a place I have spent alot of money over the years. I did not even get an apology.
It is awful that my go to sushi place is now a huge disappointment.
It has been ruined. Why would she not let me order what I wanted. Why no attempt to make me happy. not even an offer of free ice cream for the child.
Won't be going back. Too bad I really liked this place.
If you go here don't order the high end items they are now a ripoff. They used to be a treat.

I am still in shock as to how awful tonights experience was. No one in the restaurant cared.
