I would say that this restaurant has gone downhill since it moved from the corner of 8th Ave. & Cambie. Don't expect too much from their noodles in soup dishes...they are a bit too cheap on the food...in fact, they don't even give you reasonable amount of food (e.g. meat, vegie, etc.)...you'll end up just eating noodles!!!

Also, the meat tends to be tenderized too much, so it loses its taste & texture, otherwise, the dishes would have been very tasty...what a shame!

Prices are very reasonable considering the quantity and quality of the food. It has a wide selection. I would definitely to go back.

Poor Service! Food is ok, small portion. Prices are not that reasonable considering small portion!

Unpleasant experience!

Went there for a late lunch by myself (about 2:30pm). I was initially seated at a two-people table which was right across from the hot kitchen. There's no air-conditioning in the restaurant, only had the door popped open....so, it was just too hot to seat close to the kitchen on a warm summer day!

Since it was about 2:30pm which was after the busy lunch hours and the restaurant was pretty empty (only 5 customers there - 2 tables), I asked to move to the table that was right by the door where there's some cool air coming in and told the girl the reason why I wanted to move. Happened that it was a table for four people, so the girl unwillingly let me to do so. Another girl didn't like it either....she asked the girl who helped me move how many people I was with...sounding like - I (one person) shouldn't be taking a table that's for four people!

The servers there were very unfriendly, especially the young guy and second girl (the one who asked about if I was with anyone....)

I was pretty much left alone the whole time after that....no one asked if I needed anything or if everything was fine (which I actually don't really mind...it's just that the whole unfriendly and cold feelings that you're getting from them.)

I ate a little bit less than half of the plate, so asked the "second girl" to put the rest in a box for me to take home. When I opened the box the next day and was going to eat it for my lunch, I realized that the girl only packed 1/2 of what was left on plate for me!!! That was so bad!!! I wasn't that hungry when I was in the restaurant, and therefore specifically saved a bigger portion for my lunch the next day, then it turned out that it went to the garbage and I didn't get all of what I paid for!

You have to pay $1 extra if you want to have the noodles instead of rice, which is what I did! You don't get much noodle because the portion is small. In my case, some of what I paid extra got thrown in the garbage.

I'm not going to go back!!

Next time when I want to have the similar food that they serve, I'll walk down a few doors next to it and go to the Shalin Restaurant (I think that's what's called) because the service there is much better and the portion of the dishes is bigger, also there is no such thing that you need to pay extra $$ for having some noodle.
