Best Sushi on the N.Shore

Gen's is yes, crowded during dinner time but that is expected for a place that continually serves fresh, well-priced, fast, quality sushi.

I have been eating here for over 5 years and it is my #1 default place for sushi in Vancouver. The same staff has been there forever, they are kind, quick and friendly. You are welcome to stroll in the back door, they are VERY welcoming to children and families and again, the food is amazing...always.

The tuna + salmon sashimi is so thick and fresh. Ebi Sunomon is perfect and refreshing. Termpura is not overly fried. Party trays are great too. Gen's has catered a few of my big parties (pick-up party trays).

IF you are really concerned about crowdedness, not to fear...Gen's opened up its restaurant to the store next door for the overlow of customers. I love this place.

Love that they had the classic grilled cheese on the menu. I ordered it, and It was great. The butternut squash soup is outstanding. I like mine with a dollop of sourcream in it, and they accomodated that with ease. The setting of the restaurant is beautiful. Love the dark woods and blues.

The combo-meals (soup, sandwhich) are great deals and delicous.
