Sailor Hagar's Brew Pub86 Semisch Avenue, North Vancouver
Average Pub in North Van
Submitted Saturday, June 20, 2009 - 12:59pm [Dine in]

Sailor Hagar's has a great view and is spacious and well lit inside. The service was average.

Despite this, the food has been consistently a disappointment. The chicken ranch pizza was terrible. It was just a thin crust with a few pieces of chicken and a few mushrooms, not much flavour. The pesto chicken burger was served on a very low quality bun which turned soggy quickly. The shephard's pie was under spiced and lacked overall floavour. Compared to some of other pubs that serve excellent food in the area, we were very disappointed.

Consistently Great Sushi in North Van!
Submitted Saturday, June 20, 2009 - 12:45pm [Dine in]

We order from this resturant at least once a week and it is consistently fabulous. The rolls are always fresh and well made. The yam tempura and dynamite rolls are usually warm because they are so quick in delivering it to our house. We love the spicy tuna, mixed with green onions, sesame oil and spicy sauce, delicious!

One of the best things about the rolls is that they cut them into eight pieces so they are just the right size, never too big.

This is the best sushi place that we have found in North Vancouver!
