On Lok Restaurant2010 E Hastings, Vancouver
they've updated the place!

I went to On Lok just recently, and it's quite different from before. They updated the place, making the atmosphere somewhat less greasy. The food is greasy, but that really depends on what you order. Then again, that's to be expected at a chinese restaurant, always expect grease and oil. The food was alright overall. I had the BBQ duck and the roast pork were REALLY good. My friend's wonton soup was pretty good, and my fried rice was tasty. The service was fairly decent as I didn't encounter any of those boisterously loud men. They weren't yelling at all.

Honolulu Cafe3340 Kingsway, #240, Vancouver
it wasn't that great

when I went to Honolulu's, the ambience was much like many other chinese restaurants. It wasn't exactly like the new more retro chinese cafes in richmond. When the food arrived, the insides weren't completely cooked, and had to be deep-fried again. After they came back for the second time, the outside was pretty burnt. However, the service there was actually pretty decent. The waiters were quite helpful in giving recommendations.

Anducci's Italian Kitchen9604 Cameron St, Burnaby
Absolutely filling

I remember going to Anducci's for the first time and being amazed by the atmosphere. There was a vintage feel to the restaurant, making you reminisce about the good ol' times. When we sat down, the waiter was suggested multiple reccomendations that turned out to be fairly well made. The portions are reasonably large, including the deserts. In the end, we all left incredibly full
