We are a couple that LOVES sushi and tried almost every notable japanese restaurant in vancouver. We found this place on this site and decided to try it out. First of all, we had the lobster soup as a starter.. did I say lobster? Me and my gf's bowls had NO lobster at all. Apparently, they are "minced" into the soup.

Ok, on to the sushi. So you might expect something different if they are charging you $10+ for a roll. WRONG. We tried the dungeness crab roll which had almost no flavour to it, and the dynamite which was nothing special either. And the nigiris.. ok they were fresh, but they tasted just about the same as other decent japanese restaurants. The only good thing I remember was the sablefish, I mean sablefish is always good anyways.

Since we came here we decided to have dessert as well.. which were of course in the $10+ range. We had no drinks whatsoever and the bill came out to $130.

The food was decent as best. Was it worth the price? NO. At a top restaurant like this, you should feel full and delighted despite the price you pay. We had none of that feeling whatsoever. In fact, I felt like I was scammed.

Will not return ever.

good food but pricy

Went there for lunch with my bf on a friday. Not too busy, around 5 tables were occupied. There were two servers: one asian guy and an asian woman. I gotta admit that the waiter guy was really good looking! But they need to do something about the odd facial expressions on the waitress..

Now to the food. The food itself was very delicious! But it was a pricy lunch. We had the gyoza, chicken teriyaki, and dynamite combo. The chicken teriyaki was very hot as if it had just come out of the grill. The dynamite roll was big and very good! Sushi very very fresh. I've tried many japanese restaurants and this was fresh fish, but you pay for it. The bill c ame out to around a $30 lunch for the two of us.

I would go back again
