This is my favourite not-so Japanese restaurant. As many of the reviews have mentioned, the portions are HUGE. It's not Japanese, but I have to say, it does taste pretty good. The size of their sushi has gone down slightly, I'm not sure why.

Service is okay. I do take-out at this restaurant, as the ambiance is non-existant. Scores of people line up outside this restaurant to pick up their orders.
I really hope they have a fridge though. You see orders ready long before they're ready to be picked up stacked on shelves.

This is one of the better Chinese restaurants I've been to. Immensely popular, I was glad to have reserved a spot the day before. We got there early, and there were MANY people waiting outside. Totally crowded. But as soon as the time we reserved came, we were instantly seated. The servers were friendly. Food was one of the best I've eaten at many chinese restaurants. Great dimsum. I'm willing to come back here sometime.

Don't forget to make reservations!!!

The red curry I had was okay. There wasn't a lot of meat in it, and for the hefty $12 I spent on this SMALL bowl of curry, it definately didn't leave me satisfied. The 'coconut' rice had no trace of coconut in it AT ALL. That small bowl (or 'large' as it was said in the menu) was $3.50. I know it's close to Robson street and it's in downtown...but please, give me my money's worth!

Service was POOR. My friend had to walk over to the waitress and CALL her over. We were the only ones in the restaurant at that time too. We asked her to change $20 bills into smaller amounts, and she gave us the wrong change...

Ambiance: Is this a restaurant or a nightclub? What the heck is that tacky disco ball doing on the ceiling? The carpet needs to be cleaned!!

I've had MUCH better Thai food elsewhere! Not returning anytime soon.

The star of the meal was the smoked sablefish. Absolutely divine. The downside was the fish and chips. The fish was SUCH a pitiful size! It was about 2/3 of a computer mouse, for $5!!! A real ripoff. The chowder was not good, I like the ones at Tim Hortons more. The crab cakes were good though, there was lots of real crab meat inside.

Service: Friendly staff. Very informative.

Ambiance: This is actually a seafood store, with a small section of the store corner having a picnic bench for people buying cooked food. I think the prices are high for the this kind of eating style. At this price, they should have actual chairs and tables. I sat at a picnic table that was right outside the store/restaurant, and it was facing the parking lot.

I would recommend that you only buy seafood here (the seafood itself is great!) and cook it at home yourself. Passable food, unreasonable prices.
