This is probably the best fine dining restaurant restaurant that I've been to that is consistant with their level of quality and service.
I've been to many others, almost all of them, but I keep coming back to Bishop's because I'm always impressed.
When I go somewhere where the prices are higher than an average place, I expect a higher lever of class and vice-versa. The severs are very attentive and polite. I feel like they enjoy working there.
The food is what you pay for. It's cooked with passion and a creative spirit that really shows.
Most of all, I go because each time when I see the owner I say aloud," Hey, it's the guy from the White Spot commercial!"
I've been twice and have always enjoyed the food. The food is pretty good (not great) but the service makes up for it.
It's a breakfast place, what do u expect? Fine dining? It's not as good as some places for breakfast (Feenies) but the plates cost $10 so u get what u pay for.
The service was beyond terrible. Our server cared more about chatting with her friends at another table then the other customers in her section.
The food was much like the service. We ordered safe bar food that is very hard to screw up, wings and burgers. The wings were dry and mostly skin and seemed like they were made 2 hours previous to us ordering them.
The bun on the burger was soggy from the grease and unedible.
I've never paid a bill right to the cent before I came to Bridges.
There seems to be a real lazy and non-chalant attitude at Sophie's.
I've been twice and got the same type of server; someone who lost the passion for her job many years ago.
The job isn't hard. You smile, write down on a piece of paper what the customer wants, give that info to someone else to do the work, and then bring the food to the table. That's it. Yet somehow the servers there have a hard time doing their job cause it interferes with their sociallizing with each other.
Twice bitten, never to return
