Late evening meal for me and my girlfriend in July 2011.

We weren't made to feel important while waiting to be seated - so much so we thought they'd forgotten about us. Once seated our table and plates weren't properly clean, this is a simple expectation wherever anyone eats out... Wasabi was already on the table (how long had it been there? I want mine fresh with the meal), we didn't order sushi but a curry and noodles. Chicken in the curry was mostly gristle and very poor cuts of meat (seriously cheap), rice was not freshly cooked (very bulky). Beef noodles were acceptable.

Service was way below average - especially slow.

We left disappointed and will not go back.

I've visited lots of BC sushi joints and this one definitely scores high marks across the factors of food, service and atmosphere. It's a smart looking place and the food matches that standard too - sashimi was top notch fresh, stir fried noodles were perfect, roll was perfect. There's special attention goes into the presentation too - the extra touch counts for a lot...

Chef even gave the diners a free salmon dish each. Easy going ambience and friendly attentive staff. We will return.

Saturday night at this Korean restaurant is okay but don't hold your breath for something special - it's not likely to be the case.

The crowd was very young as was the waiter. It was like a youth club but hey ho, if you're hungry you'll take the risk all in the name of 'atmosphere' and 'experience'. Alcohol is served and was being 'enjoyed' to the extreme.

The service was below average as was the restaurant decor. The food portions were big, tasty and good value for money - the major/only real positive factor. Our waiter couldn't tell us what we were being served, when we asked him a specific question about our dish he responded with "I don't know, I don't cook the food" and left it at that. Yes. No lie.

Tables and guests are close. It gave us a great view of a lad on a neighbouring table spitting his food out onto the floor. In case we'd missed it first time he did it about four times more and nearly hit the waiter's shoe with his last attempt. We weren't sure if he didn't like the food or the waiter's footwear and didn't wait around to ask. Nobody else seemed to mind the performance.

If you want to eat in a Korean youth club on a Saturday night this is your place. Otherwise be prepared for big portions and big problems.
